tested with them and was in the process with them until got picked up by the sheriffs dept.. let me tell you they have the hardest written entrance exam i have taken....good people working there thats about as much as i can tell you

Not testing now, but I took the test a few years back. By far the most difficult police exam I've taken. It's similar to the GRE or SAT in that you are required to do logical reasoning exercises and not just grammar, spelling, etc.

I know someone who lateralled out of LASPD to a municipal PD after doing a few years there. Nothing but good things to say, just wanted to be closer to home, get better pay.

Even though it's school PD you are running into the same dangers as sheriffs/city police: gangsters, drugs, shootings. LAUSD covers some of the worst areas of greater L.A. and includes the City of LA, unincorporated areas (ELA), and several cities. School police are all over the place and have fun from what I've heard.
