Just wondering if anybody here knows what are the CA peace officers hearing standers/measurements? Are all Ca agencys the same (post) or are some more lilient than others? Thanks.. :cool:

These are guidelines only and agencies can use their own standards. However, because POST has gone to the time and expense of validating them, most agencies adhere to these guidelines rather than go to the time and expense of validating a different set of standards.

i know rso standards are in the 20 - 25 decibal range for all frequencies.

I failed my hearing test twice, but was able to get hired after taking the Hearing In Noise Test (HINT). Something to look into if you're having problems...

The test is expensive (Approx 400.00) and is normally not covered by insurance plans.
