Last Minute San Diego Academy question?

I am trying to figure out what all to bring on my person for the first day. I was planning on bringing everything to keep in my truck, but on my person would a brief case or backpack work for carrying some water, food, notetaking materials, pens/pencils?

Should I bring any of the LD's or penal codes?

Is there any need for a locker on the first day?

Do they not give you a list of things to bring to the academy? They don't supply you with learning material, or lockers ahead of time? That sounds odd.

There is a huge list, for the books you have to buy them all before day one. I am just wondering what the "essentials" are for the first day.

I think I kept my lunch in a locker the first day. Otherwise bring a backpack with a note pad an pens/pencils. And water. They will give you stuff to put in the back pack. You can leave the rest in your truck. Most stuff you won't ever need except on days you use it. Like your helmet. Two day in 5 months is the first and last time you will need it.

The lockers are at the top of the stairs in the athletic/shower room for the college. I kept what I needed in there until I figured out what to bring each day. On day one you will get a course outline telling you what is going to be taught on each day so you can bring what is needed. Day one is a lot of running around, filling out forms for the college,etc.

Are you an open enrollee or did you finally get picked up somewhere?

the first day u will get a schedule. Bring something to write on. Bring your sweatshirt. It's been cold. Bring water. Your going to go over rules, and get some drill and stuff done the first 2 days. You'll be running those lovely stairs. Just remember, it not all about speed but keeping the group together. Your going to love the SDSD. I enjoy it greatly.

Make sure you bring that lint roller. Those uniforms pick up everything!
