Alameda PD

Hi just wondering if anyone could pass along any info about the Alameda PD?? I saw they are accepting applications and it seems like they have solid benefits/pay...is it a good place to work, how is the equipment, morale, schedules (4/10 I think), and are they a busy department?

Grandparents live by St. Joe's High School, so I guess that would be considered the west end or is only bay farm island considered the west end?? My mom is from there and all her sisters/brothers have since moved to San Leandro, Livermoore, San Ramon, and Bay Farm Island.

I still have to finish school out here in Chicago, but I am strongly considering testing for some of the larger departments out in the Bay Area as well as the LAPD.
