Background References???

Hello,
My BI will start contacting my references this week, what kind of questions do they ask? How will they be contacted? Phone Call? Email? Letter? I have laid everything out so I don't have issues or anything I'm hiding but more curious than anything?

Depends, usually a questionnaire in the mail, but a BI could contact anyway they choose.

I had a BI call me for my friend trying to get a job with the NYPD. She asked me pretty typical questions like: How I knew him, work ethics, good and bad things about him, she asked me if he was racist against certain races, his views on the government, and the last question she asked me if I would recommend him for the NYPD. The interview with the BI only took around 5 minutes. Hope this helps...
