I have my oral coming up and I was wondering if some of you could give me some examples of a solid opening statement. I've tried searching but I wasn't able to find any examples of an opening statement. I seem to have a "writers block" in trying to figure out what I'm going to say

Any help will be appreciated. :)

I don't recall about opening statement.... Normally, they will ask you to tell something about yourself. Then, why do you want to become a peace officer?; what are the things have you done to prepare for this job?; They might throw some scenario and ask what would you do in that situation.

What you need to prepare is your "closing statement". At the end of the interview, they will ask if you need to add anything - you need to nail it with a good closing remarks about yourself. But do not mention that things you've already said.

Just relax, speak slowly and have a good sleep.

My oral took about 30 minutes and I must say that after the interview, I knew that I got it.

Good Luck!

Well I was told to have an opening statement prepared. I feel that I'm prepared for the rest of the interview, but I'm just having a hard time figuring out what I'm going to say in the beginning.

have some questions to ask at the end. they will probably say do you have anything to ask us, just dont ask questions you could find the answers to on their website
