anyone have any knowledge or personal experience with the www.peaceofficeracademy.com ? I stumbled upon this while wasting time on the computer as usual. Was wondering if this is a valid thing or just a scam of sorts.

its valid, all their instructors are certified NYS Peace Officer Instructors from NYS DCJS. I believe some agencies who require peace officer status but dont want to shell out the money to send you to a police academy for the training, you go to a school on your own time and pay for it yourself this peace officer academy is one of those schools. I believe some towns and departments upstate who are far from Police Academys send their recruits to the peace officer academy too.

If you go through this Like I have. Its only a Training course UNLESS your sponsored. If your Sponsored with a Agency, then it's certification.

Its Not really cheap for out of Pocket prices, You have to buy a Class A&B Uniform, ALL duty gear with a vest an option due to the High prices of them, About 300 rounds of Duty ammo for range training, And you have to purchase your own badge and pay for your graduation and guests!!!


It however its a good course, just the costs involved are crazy!
