I am from Miami but have an oral board in another state where is very cold, what would be the appropiate attire? I wouldnt imagine wearing a suit in cold climate.

Wear a suit with an overcoat. What else would you wear? A suit is a must at any stage of the hiring process.

Aloha shirt and shorts seems like a good plan. Or if you do not feel comfortable with that, a dark gray or navy blue suit, white shirt, and conservative tie. Personally, I like the aloha shirt plan. If you want the job though, you might want to think about the dark gray or navy blue suit, white shirt, and conservative tie.

I would suggest a suit, dress shirt, tie, dress shoes, and a dress belt at all your interviews whether it is for law enforcement or not.
An overcoat, like the other dude mentioned, may be an expense but you will either be cold while outside, or can use it in the future if you plan on moving north whether or not you get the job.

The usual advice is a suit and tie. No exceptions due to weather. If it's cold, wear an overcoat or jacket, at least while you're outside. Consider this. On the day of your Oral Board, court will be in session, probably not too far away from where you are. The Attorneys will be in suits and ties. The Judge will be appropriately attired as well. It is NO less important that you be. Good luck.

Suit and tie w/ no exceptions.
If you don't own an overcoat just wear a warm jacket and remove it once inside, not a big deal. Or you can just wear a suit and walk quickly to get inside, you won't freeze to death.
I gotta say, this question about what to wear comes up all the time. Always wear a suit, it's better to be overdressed and look sharp.
Good luck on the boards!

Suit and tie. End of story. Spend the extra $$$ on a decent overcoat. Good luck

But how do we KNOW for sure that the judge isn't simply naked under the black robe, hhhmmm????

Yes much better to be overdressed. Weather has no effect on the dress for your interviews. This is especially important if they are doing interviews for more than one applicant during that day. You don't want to look underdressed compared to the guy who just walked out of his interview with a smile on his face. Give yourself every chance to get the job and appearance is a huge part of it!

as practically everyone else has said..a suit and tie is the way to go, not only does it make you look professional, but it shows that you care enough to dress very well.
