Suffolk PD Chart/Schedule

What kind of shifts do Suffolk PD do?
Like I know Nassau does 12 hr 2on 2 off, 3 on 4 off

Nassau's is actually

2 on 3 off 3 on 4 off. and 10 hour tour nights (if you want) is 4 on 4 off.

you work 5 8hours shift with two days off.
I'm not sure how the days off rotate but I'll ask my cousin and let you know.

So its a 8 hr shift with steady 5 on 2 off ?

In the city we do 8 hr 35 mins with 5 on 2 off then 5 on 3 off

my cousin works 12 days a month on NCPD. Its funny, we had a party one day last week and he took 1 day off of work and with that day off he was off for 5 days total.

he has 2 years on and makes about $80,000 with zero OT.

Nassau PD is a much better job than Suffolk PD.

Yes indeed, NCPD,NYSP,MTAPD have the best scheds that I know of so far.

MTAPD's is almost the same as nassau's, the only difference is an extra 20 minutes a day and on your fourth set you work 1 extra tour.

yup yup one of my good friends work for MTAPD and he only works Fri,Sat,Sun and then every 3weeks one pay backday which changes it to Friday,Sat,Sun,Mon

when you start out your on midnights 11-7 3 on 4 off then you go to 2 tour 7-3 five days then 3-11 five days
