Camden County Sheriff's Office

Anyone from around this area? I was just wondering if this is a good department to work for before I apply. Whats the area like? The only reason I ask is that I live a good 5-6 hour drive away. The one problem I'm going to have is getting an application - their website doesn't provide download/print offs.

Very small, low pay and probably no benefits.

I agree with Ray, BUT, it is a close knit department, excellent facility, full time jail staff, which leaves road officers with patrolling more. I work for a bordering county, and trained with Camden County K9 handlers last month at their facility. Great group of guys from what I seen. Good luck.

I've met a few of the camden guys at a training thing, they seemed pretty smart/level headed.

Small agency. Pay not so good. Benefits on par with a lot of other agencies in the area, crappy.

Good agency though. Decent equipment and one would suspect lots to do durning the summer since the Lake is so close.

They are one of the few so's in the area with a true Jail Staff... and a very nice jail
