Glad to report our academy (Drury University in Springfield) is just about complete! Today was the last day of formal instruction. All that remains are two tests, one of which is the POST exam, a brief report writing exercise, and a PT evaluation.

I received and accepted a conditional offer (pending drug screening and physical) with Branson PD. What a tremendous load off my chest it was to get that phone call!!

I'll start off with a bit of training at Branson, 7wk academy and 8-12wk FTO. Makes me feel young to be a rookie again!!

I have to go re-read the tips in the rookie corner now....

Be safe, and you'd better pass that drug test. You're wanting to be a cop after all :P

I know about 3-4 guys plus the admin staff and the Chief at Branson....

Great place to work. Pay kinda sucks but they are working on things.....
