Figured I woud drop by and introduce myself. I joined up like 2 months ago but I just got my account validated today. Not sure what the hold up on the sites end with that but anyway I am a 31E in the US Army. I have been doing it for a lil over 2 years now and I love the corrections/detainee ops career. I definatly plan on continueing my life in corrections once I get out of the service unless I decide to stay in.

Cool Insominex. Me and a few co-workers are planning on touring your facility in the future. We just toured the Pelican Bay a few months ago. Hell of a drive, but it was worth it.

Wow, you drove all the way to pelican bay. Hopefully the C/Os up there gave you guys a good tour. Any alarms go off while you were there? When are you guys planning to tour Salinas Valley?

Yeah, the drive was loooong. We stayed in a hotel and turned it in to a little party.
Nothing good happened while we were there. The PIO LT. and a Sergeant took god care of us. We talked to the Squad and the Gang guys (what I really wanted to do) and got their business cards. The leader of the AB walked by us while we were walking around though. Enjoyed the tour. We plan on doing Salinas Valley (much better drive) in the next few months. Think it would be worth it? We are going to hit Quentin first (soon).

Its good to hear that you guys enjoyed it. Pelican bay is one of a kind and I too one day like to tour that prison. They house the most violent inmates in all of California and most of the gang leaders.
It will be diffinetly worth touring Salinas Valley since C yard is starting to program after being on lockdown for about 2 years. C yard is one of the most dangerous yard in CDCR because of all of the riots that happens here. Then we have A yard, where theres alarm almost everyday involving mutual combat to homicide. So, I'm pretty confident it will be worth the hour and half drive, but if you drive little fast you can make it in a hour.;)
