Would anyone know which IL license plate displays the letters I over T on the side of the plate? I looked through the S.O.S. website to no avail.

The I/T plate is an In Transit plate for transporters. I believe some dealers use this plate when coming from an auction or something like that. A link to an IL license plate guide for law enforcement is below.

• No person shall engage in this state in the business of transporting motor vehicles, not his own, by driving either singly or by the towbar, saddle mount or full mount method or any combination thereof and using the public highways of this state until such person shall apply for and receive from the Secretary of State a generally distinctive set of two In-Transit License Plates for any motor vehicle so transported by him.
• Such In-Transit plates shall be used by such person only on motor vehicles transported, but not owned by him.
• In-Transit plates may be issued to firms for in-plant vehicles, and for empty movement of these vehicles between their own plant areas. In-Transit plates also may be issued to firms that need to move vehicles for installation of special bodies or equipment. These firms are not permitted to conduct any for-hire movements.

The repo guys are suppose to have them on the cars they grab, also. Most don't, but if you see them on a car, they should come back to whatever recovery co. that the repo guys work for..
