So, I'm done with FTO and tonight was first night in a unit completely by myself (we are Direct Supervision in my facility). I'm not worried, I can handle myself.
So I get to work and go to the PC (Pod Control Desk) around 1400 and one of my academy classmates is finishing up first shift, and I notice that 17 out of the 31 I/M's in Bravo Pod are going on the early lock-in sheet for "failure to earn work points". I think to myself "Sweet, that'll be a quiet nite" So I snag Bravo Pod, thinking that they all know that they are locking in. I do headcount, the doors are rolled and I post the lock-in sheet.
Well guess what? She didn't tell them anything. She waited for them to lock-in and took all the points away cause the I/M's gave her a really rough time. But I was the one that had to deal with all of their B.S. and claims that they were going to unify and defy the lock-in order. I talked to them, explained that I didn't take the point and that I was just enforcing the rules and I couldn't change the officer's decision, and I notified my supervisor about the mood of the unit.
Well, they quiet down alil too much, like the calm before the storm. Around 2200 when the majority of them should be locking in, my supervisor comes in with his Fox Fogger strapped on, didn't say a word, just stood behind me as I calmly instructed people to lock-in early.. Once the I/M's saw that none of them seemed to mind locking in.
Long story short a really Sh*tty situation was averted because I had excellent command staff backing me, just felt like venting alil bit.
P.S. I got the watch the first half of the Patriots game in almost complete silence too!
