Does anyone know why the the Police in Slovenia recently changed to green and blue lightbars from straight blue lightbars?

Because red and blue clashed with their uniforms?

All I know is my bride tells me never to wear blue and green together. Now I know why - I would look like a Slovinian police light bar!

I was thinking, I have a feeling that the green and blue lightbars on the Slovenian Police cars are to denote a Border Police unit, as they do border enforcement alongside Customs...One of the above picture shows an office with a plaque saying "Mejna Policija", which means "Border Police".

Further, Red and Blue lights on a Slovenian police car was used to denote a traffic enforcement unit (Don't know if it still is)...

Slovenia has only two (three if you count customs) uniformed Police Agencies, "Policija Slovenija" which is the regular national police pictured above, "Vojska Policija" which is the Military Police...

Cities in Slovenia have "Občinski inšpektorat/Mestna redarska služba" which are unarmed, but uniformed regulatory enforcement officers like Ordnungsamt in Germany, or Municipal Law Enforcement Officers in Canada...

I'd still like to hear from any police officers from Slovenija regarding why the above police cars have blue and green lightbars, and if I'm right about my thinking that it is used to denote a police unit assigned to a border...

It's because the green stands for "Welcome to Slovinia! Keep driving!" We're going to equip the U.S. Border Patrol with green lights in the near future too!

Easy Munlaw, some Americans own maps and have some knowledge of geography.

Of course, others think that New Mexico is a separate country, and Canada is just another one of the states.

You may have it right about New Mexico...But Canada "just another one of the states"...but rather Minnesota and Maine are just concealed Canadian Provinces :D

Well, OK, eh?

Just what do you offer to get Minnesota back?

Maine? After what the 20th Maine did at Gettysburg, the birthplace of Hiram Maxim (inventor of the machinegun) stays!

I don't know - but I find the new LED flashers we have are very effective. Plus they have the bonus of not burning out.

The answer is not there, pretty much what that sums up is their few operations, what happened and what consficated (cellphones, people arrested and money taken away from individuals).

Heres the translation of the slides:

#1: This would be what we call in USA Investigations unit except overseas in Slovenija its seperated from regular PD. Also first slide is about the news conference which was held in Ljubljana...
#2:Would be their law on who illegally enters Slovenija. The term in jail would from 3 mon +
#3:This one is also just the law on the illegality there.
#4: this slide is statistics the years show how much it has increased and or decreased.
#5: This slide is when it was started in Sept of 2006. Some of suspects were from South africa and eastern Balkan countries. The rest states that at least 111 illegal people came into the country and paid around 235.000 euros.
#6: Shows the map of illegals from which point they entered the country.
#7:The End April of 07. Six people arrested, and four were put in lock up.
Consficated material: numerous number of cellphones, fake traveling papers, slips for Western Union (they would send money back home to their families), and 18000 of Euros in cash.
#8:Picture of evidence.
#9: This operation started in Oct of 06: These suspects were from sourrounding Balkan countries. At least 108 illegals came in. again the amount paid was 324000 euros.
#10: Map of Balkan countries...
#11: again map of where the entrences have occurred.
#12: End date april of 07: arrested 15 people, 3 put in prison. again consficated large amount of cellular phones, western union slips and 6000 euros in cash.
#13:Pictures of evidence.

PS> this is the most accurately I could translate it considering I havent spoken that language in five years.
