From what I hear they are only positions that haven't been filled in years?

Plus there are soooooo many rumor's right now about FHP, no one KNOWS the truth.

And I'm guessing no one ever will???? Well, no one that will ever post on this site????

all i know is that leoaffairs forum is pretty damn horrible.

They gotta get some moderators up in there, reminds me of my old highschool forum.

LEOAffairs is the worst website I have ever seen in my life. I think websites like that do more harm than good to law enforcement. It's full of whiners and malcontents that post questions and then post 16 different answers (normally quite unprofessionally) under 16 different screen names. Every agency on that website has the same problem. I think the actual number of posters is quite small but it appears that there are many more due to the fact that you can use a different name each time you post.

As was mentioned earlier, the 50 positions were empty anyway, so it doesn't really have an effect on us. A new academy class just started a couple of weeks ago.

Florida Smokey, if you don't mind me asking: What's your take on all this hoop lah that's going on with FHP? One day it's this person that is gonna be the next Colonel b/c they are in with EB? Then I hear it's gonna be someone from the outside b/c EB don't want to stir up anymore s**t?

And WHY (because I am retarded when it come's to this issue) can't the DHSMV, EB or whoever just add a small amount to whatever and give the FHP a raise?

I mean: 67% goes to the counties. And I understand that it is to pay for court costs and so on. But what if we only gave the counties 62% and kept 5% for FHP? Those courthouses would not go out of business!!!

And FHP could get rid of the "uniforms" for the Duty Officers. That has been nothing but a HUGE waste of time and money. We rarely see the public, so what was the point?

Damn it, I have so many idea's, they are written down somewhere, I just can't find them right now???

Is it a waste of time or do YOU actually have hope for the FHP?

I'm hanging on by a thread, but I'm still hanging on.....
