Haha, I agree. I took the actual probes before in order to carry my Taser but this here just looks vicious!!

You know what I will refuse to get shot with this to carry it! In my opinion Ive already been shot by worse Im not asking for more torture Ill go practice with the 12 gauge the good old way on paper lol.
I wonder where they will find volunteers for the testing.

I wonder where they will find volunteers for the testing.
When I went through the Taser Instructor/Armorer school late last year, they were talking about this new item; and they were trying to solicit volunteers to be 'lab rats' and get shot with it and then take the 20-30 second ride.
Everyone in the class said 'no ****ing way!'...then they tried the 'well, if you get zapped, we'll give you $$$$$ towards purchasing a X-26'.....
I've been darted with both the X26 and the M26...never again....I'm glad I did it, but I'm not gonna be the one in the back of the class going 'pick me pick me pleeeeease'

Once was enough for me. I'm a bit curious about how effective a "drive stun" is (because it should have only a localized effect), but not curious enough to find out first-hand.
Apart from the extended pain, I would be concerned about blunt-force trauma from the XREP, as well the possibility of the probes hitting in unfortunate places. Maybe the military can test it on people they were going to shoot anyway. I think the military helped fund the research.

I've been hit with the "drive stun" numerous times. It will get your attention, but it nothing like getting darted. It does not have any of the 'lockup' that you get when darted.
Taser International was also looking for volunteers for 'long term' exposures...like in the 45-90 second range.

Screw that! 5 seconds was more than enough for me! I think I'll sit this one out. I don't even want to think about what the media is going to say about the XREP.

Here's an idea similar to one that has been used in the past. California is going to have to release inmates early because of overcrowding. How about giving extra good-time (early release) credits to volunteers? The state could charge Taser International for each "volunteer," and make money off the deal while reducing prison overcrowding, with a little extra punishment thrown in.

That is an excellent idea. Not only will they be helping out with the research, they will also get first hand experience on the consequences of going up against these weapons which may reduce violence against officers.

You ****ers are not judge or jury. It is clear that you are clearly subhuman pieces of dung aka (****). Had to spell that one out for you uneducated lowlifes. It is clear that these weapons are for torture and torture only. Since the Gay Gestapo took over the Law Enforcement, the days of cops possibly having to get hurt to protect citizens has been replaced by a bunch of nutless wonders who only grow the smallest balls once a person has been electricuted and handcuffed, which at this point a bunch of lowlifes decide to administer their justice, instead of following law. Pussies and nothing but where the badge openly.
Men, sure as hell are not any in Law Enforcement, just a bunch of scared little boys who are to incompetent to get a real job.
Submission Versus Compliance, ideology of lowlife cocksuckers with a badge, which happens to be the same ideology of Islamic Terrorist who hate American Citizens. Lo and behold Cops hate citizens to, so just what is the purpose of the Gay Gestapo hired by Cities and Counties, it is a tax system that uses human beings as cattle. You truly are lowlifes, and anyone who supports your perverted form of law should be treated as Rabid Dogs.
To get more of my true feelings go to this website to see more abuse of power by nutless wonders with badges.
Sincerely,
Geoffrey Wells

I must, sadly, admit that I volunteered for a taser trial. While work on patrol- word got 'round that TI was looking for volunteers to take the ride for TEN seconds while being hooked up to an EKG. As a result, each volunteer would receive a brand new X26 package (X26, 4 cartridges, full battery, video, 2 test targets, etc).
It was a horrible experience. Prior to the trail- I had taken a 1 second and 5 second ride- so I knew what I was in for, but it was terrible.
When all said and done- the TI staff asked if anyone would be willing to do it again. Every emphatically stated that unless they were giving away brand new cars; we wouldn't even consider it. . .

Milagro303,,,,
I gotta ask....did you go to your 'happy place' during the 10 seconds?....one of the instructors tried that line on us......something along the lines of 'you dont feel it after the 1st 6-7 seconds, because you go to your happy place'
