I was watching that video and got goose bumps just watching that officer on top of the vehicle firing 5 to 7 shots point blank about 1 foot away from the suspect. From what i saw was a good deal, but I'm still clueless on how the officer ended up sitting on top of the suspects hood (why put yourself in more danger... stay behind cover and do what you have to do.). I don't wanna make assumtions, but it seems like he put his self into danger where he didnt have a choice but to fire his weapon. But overall it seem like it was going to end that way if the officer was not on the vehicle. What do you guy's think of it?
Did you hear the officer say, "I'm going to take this guy out when i get a chance."

That forum is pretty dry and it seems everyone from the east coast opinion is the same (good job by the officers, but was there plan to kill this guy before the suspect tried to run them over? who knows) and im not trying to defend the suspects either (im just going by what i heard and saw in the video). I rather hear from California Officers. We think and do things differently then other states, so if you had a opinion posted over there, please feel free to post it here as well. thanks

It's hard to tell what with the camera's switching back and forth but it appears the Officer may have got out to do a felony stop like we would do and then when in danger of being run over. I doubt he wanted to be on that hood.:)

Well we all know what happens to officers who open fire on subjects that try to run them over.
