Has anyone here sold an item on GunBroker? How was the experience? I'm looking at maybe selling off a couple of safe queens and getting something new. I'm not sure if I would be better off trying to sell online or maybe doing a consignment at a local shop.

I've only made a few (unsuccessful) bids, but I know many people who've purchased guns through the site and they like it. Just keep in mind: Buyer beware! Anything that's too good a deal to believe, probably is.

I did sell my G27. Quick and easy. I had the buyer provide me with a copy of his dealer's FFL, and I just mailed it to the dealer. Only transaction I've made on gunbroker.

You can try selling it off of gunboards.com if you do not want to pay a listing price. That website is usually for collectors, but some new stuff gets sold as well.

I'd sold 4 or 5 guns on gunbroker. They all transferred to an FFL before being sold to the auction winner. Never had a problem, but always used an FFL on both ends to complete the sale.

The problem with that now is UPS and Fedex make you use over night air, which is expensive, and can be as much as $50. An FFL can use USPS and will only cost $15 or $20.
