Does anybody know if the CHP accepts the âTâ score if you took it with an other agency?
SgtCHP should know since he is the CHippie Expert but you can also try

I thought every agency made you do theirs, even if the base was the same. For the CHP I had to do an essay. We had math. It was much more in depth then the one I had for SDSD.
I actually went through the whole process for the CHP. Got accepted, waited to get out of the military, got extended due to the war. Got married to a girl in the navy and had to stay in San Diego so I gave that up. But I'm happy where I am now.

The "T" score is not accepted by the California Highway Patrol as the written test is based on a pass/fail score. Here is information on the "T" score and its meaning.

This contains a study guide.

There are seven steps in the testing & selection process:
STEP 1. Application - each applicant must submit an application to be eligible for the testing process. Application packets are available at any CHP office or may be requested online. Applying online is currently unavailable.
STEP 2. Written Examination - This test is given on a pass/fail basis and consists of 125 multiple choice questions and a fill-in-the-blank portion. Reading comprehension, vocabulary and English skills, including punctuation, grammar and spelling equivalent to the 12th grade level, will be tested. This is not a test of law enforcement or knowledge of the CHP.
NOTE: Effective July 22, 2006, the 40 minute essay portion of the written examination has been eliminated.

for your interview you must know what the points on the badge stand for.

i believe if you pass the written test , then you don't have to take it anymore. you can pass the interview but not be selected to continue if your score is not high enough. i think the minimum to pass it 85%? and it goes it 5 point increments... 90,95,100,105... i think military veterans get 10 extra points? it's been a while since i last applied with CHP, scoring 90% on 3 interviews, that were exactly the same questions... but yet i didn't score high enough to go to backgroudns...

Correct, once you pass the CHP written exam you no longer have to take it again.
As for the QAP (Oral interview), it's scored in 5 point increments. 95 (or 105 if you have military points) is the highest score you can get.
*And I was never asked what the seven points of the star meant, although I know them.* ;)
