And yet another Officer dies because someone had to run the red light...

Age: 43
Tour of Duty: 19 yr
Suspect Info: Accident under investigation
Weapon Used: Commercial vehicle
Officer Matteson died shortly after being involved in a vehicle accident. Officer Matteson was returning from a service call when his cruiser collided with a tractor trailer which had run a red light. The cruiser's driver side doors were crushed and had to be pried open in order to free Officer Matteson. He was transported to a local hospital where he died several hours later.
Officer Matteson had been with the agency for 19 years. He is survived by his wife and children.
