A drunk driver takes the life of another dedicated cop...

Weapon Used: Alcohol and automobile
Deputy Myers was killed when his cruiser was struck head-on by a drunk driver. Deputy Myers was transporting a juvenile to a youth detention facility in another county when the other vehicle crossed the center line and struck the cruiser. The cruiser flipped several times and landed in an adjoining orchard. Both Deputy Myers and the juvenile were wearing seatbelts, however, Deputy Myers died at the scene. The juvenile was treated and released from a local hospital.
Deputy Myers had been in law enforcement for three years and had been with the agency for one year. He is survived by his wife and 11-month-old son.

What a truly senseless loss. Another child grows up without a father because someone wanted to get drunk and drive. After suffering such a loss, myself... I know the torment that this family will feel forever. My heart is broken for them. May God see them through and help them find some semblance of peace.
