Fallen: Officer Dan McCarthy

Officer McCarthy of the Medfield MA Police Department was working a detail at a road contruction site when a speeding motorist driving a pickup truck ran through the barricades and the officer's vehicle before striking the officer. He was pronounced dead at the scene moments later. He was 38 years old, father of five. He had been with the Medfield PD for four years.
