I think its pretty amazing that it turned out as well as it did, really. I've seen quite a few deer collisions, and a horse is quite a bit larger than a deer. The driver of the car and the mounted officer walked away without any lasting injuries. Luckily the horse wasn't injured badly, either, and will make a full recovery.
