An officer was killed today in Denver after getting in an accident. He was on his way to direct traffic from another accident and he was riding a motorcylce. A car hit him. http://www.officer.com/ubb/frown.gif You guys riding be careful.

Officer Licata died after being involved in a motorcycle accident while responding to the scene of a construction accident with lights and sirens. During the response Officer Licata's Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a small vehicle, throwing him from the bike. He was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

Officer Licata had received eight commendations during his four years with the department. He is survived by his 3-year-old daughter.
