All these deaths.....how terribly depressing

I give a few minutes thought each day that I could be the next one. I've pushed that thought into the back of my head for 13 years now, but each and every day it comes back. I know it keeps me on my toes, but I still hate the thoughts. Who would comfort my wife? Who would raise my kids? What would my kids think of me after I'm long gone? Would they remember me? Would they know how much I loved them? Would they know that my entire life revolved around them?

I apply these thoughts to the ones that have died and I realize that they too probably had kids and wifes.

How selfish could one human be to deprive families of one of their members?

How terribly depressing.

I know it's not a very Christian thing to say, but I honestly hope there is a special place in hell for these assassins.

You are a good man TC and to answer your questions:
1-You would have already provided your wife with that comfort through out the years you were together, the love you had for her displayed in so many ways, your kindness, the sacrifices you made for your family, the bravery in carrying out your every day duties, etc. These would be her comfort.
2-You, through your wife, would raise your children, for she would teach them your values.
3-Your children would think you were the bravest, smartest, kindest, most handsome man who ever lived because your wife would tell them that.
4-They would always know you loved them by the sacrifices you made to keep them safe. How could they not know?
