We lost a Chief yesterday...

Weapon Used: Officer's handgun
Chief White was killed after being shot and killed with his own .45 caliber handgun during a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 258 and State Road 305. No other information about the incident is currently available.
Chief White had recently requested that the town council purchase bullet proof vests for the officers in his three-person department but his request was denied. He had been in law enforcement for 30 years and is survived by his wife, several grown children, and several grandchildren.
*as reported by the ODMP

It really doesn't matter the size of the Agency... our LEO's deserve any of the equipment that adds to their safety... especially something as important as the vest. Those who turned down the Chief's request for the three vests needed must surely be feeling ashamed of themselves today. I'm ashamed of them.
God bless you, Chief White... and my prayers for your family.
