I have been training in Taiho-Jitsu One On One Control. It has proven to be extremely effective. I recommend you check out Jimerfield.org. If that is not for you, Please train in some form of defense. Your life or others may depend on it.

Is your agency an agency that would go after you if u used a non-agency approved hold or move? I know in San Diego we can use the carotid artery hold but in some places it's considered lethal force. I mean yeah when it's your life do all u can to kick some *** but if it's not life threatening are you going to be able to use it?

Everything we train in Taiho Jitsu One On One Control we can use. Some things should only be used as a last resort. Most of what we train is open hands. Check out the web site. There are many things I know now that I wish I knew when I was a rookie way down south.
