Hello I am interested federal law enforcement/intelligence community. I was wondering what you all of you thought I would be best suited to apply for in terms of federal law enforcement? Maybe I should pursue intelligence only? Or some combo of Intel/Leo exist that would work out? Hmm…
Education
BS Anthropology (Biological/Human evolutionary ecology) understanding of psychological/biological/cultural motivations! Yay!
MS Geography (Geographic Information Technology/Geospatial analysis) Where is all this in time and space… and how do we detect it!
Was interested specifically in 1811 designations, (that make sense?) still working this out…specifically as a special agent for the FBI, or other federal bureaus.
The Critical skills list on the FBI website is tricky, but seem to indicate a need for networking IT professionals…or law enforcement experience, others yes, but accounting etc do not interest me at the moment.
Here is the kick… does my MS in Geography (actual title is Geography) emphasis in GIT/GeoAnalysis qualify under any of those critical skills? It doesn’t appear to be the case, and diversified is a really long shot. I know what your thinking man go get into the NGA! (National geospatial Intelligence Agency) Unfortunately for me they have a specific requirement that all immediate family members be eligible for TS. My Father is not a United States citizen. *sigh*
Anyhow looking for feedback basically on what all of you think I would best suited for..oh and I am no stranger to firearms, etc I have a pretty decent experience, and consider myself a decent communicator (shrug) as this is *key* in many LEO/Intel fields.
Thanks very much sorry for the length!
