Well sunday at 8:00am was my interview with the FWC. I did alot of research on the agency...knew the mission statement and a few of the agecy visions. I feel that I answered the questions well but I was so nervous and they knew it. About half way through the interview one of the officers said "We know your nervous...so just take a deep breath and relax." I did as he said but I became extremely nervous again...you could hear it in my voice and I was trying everything possiable inside to calm myself down but nothing was working. At the end of the interview one officer said "we do relize you were nervous and we do take that into consideration." All three officers said I preformed extremely well considering my age and that they will be in contact. I know from my research that everyone that was granted an interview is contacted about mid-september to tell you if you scored high enough on the interview to continue in the selection process. How would you guys interpurt their comments and do you think that they took me being nervous as a weakness or what? Is there anything else that I can do to show my intrest in the agency or do I just wait until I recieve my letter in september?

i dont know exactly what the measuring stick is for fwc as far as what personality traits they are looking for, but nervousness is natural. however, if it becomes abnormal, they will probably find that as a weakness. your interest is probably not a question, but the obvious signs of nervousness may be a problem when dealing in a stressful situation. law enforcement is stressful in its nature and being able to mask/cage/control etc it is a survival technique for in this line of work. hopefully, you didnt look as nervous as you are declaring and everything goes well for you.
