Hello all,
I am in the process of appling to several different PD's in North Carolina as well as the Border Patrol and had some questions about my background. As you'll see, I've done some things wrong, which is really all I'm listing. If ya'll could provide some insight on how this will affect a hiring decision and ways to overcome, I wolud really appreciate it.
- Never graduated highschool. Was going to Jr college for my senior year and ended up joining the military before completion. I now have an AA and am 1 yr away from my BS.
- Adjuticated Delinquent for possesion of a controlled substance (prescription pills) when I was 16. I was given probation but released early. I am now 24.
- I have a total of 9 accounts that were delinquent on my credit report. They are all now paid in full and/or disputed. Many of these went delinquent while deployed.
On a positive note, I have 7 years of honorable military service, am nearly complete with my BS, and have been on multiple deployments to combat zones.
