Does anyone know when the next ECO exam for the DEC Police is going to be given? Does anyone know if they have a recruitment officer?

They just administered an exam this last (2006) December. They generally test every 2-3 years. Therefore, the next test would likely be given in 2008 or 2009. But who knows, civil service is idiotic in NY State, so they could give a test sooner.

Tell me about it. I missed the NYSP test in 2004 and it took me 2 years to take one. Luckily I did well. NY is definately different, Im stationed out of San Diego, CA and I took the California Highway Patrol test this year. Those guys give a test every couple months.
