If your department has this, has it been used yet, how effective was it?

We have a few of them, and have been recently trained with it, but personally I wouldn't want to be struck with one.

We have both the six launcher and the single. We've used it at least once operationally and it worked great. We also have the 40mm sponge rounds that they claim are effective out to about 50 yards.

A friend's dept. bought the SL-6 a couple years ago cuz they found an extra $12G's in the budget. They've never used it operationally, but plunked with it on the range a couple times. I've blasted with it with the baton rounds. It was SWEET!!!!

It works like a charm. Our last shooting involved one. Bad guy was shot with a G22 and the sage at the same time. Sage ended up hitting the guy in the face (by accident) and actually dropped him after the 40cal failed to stop him.
