Hiring From Sept. 06 NYSDOCS Test

Has any one heard when they are going to begin hiring off of our test. It has only been a month since my background but they have already contacted my employer. I heard from an officer that they just hired a group of guys off the April of 06 test for the new academy at Willard. They report the 15th of April. They must be taking guys well into the 70's off of that test based on the fact that the guys from here that are at academy now scored 80's. I wouldn't think that they are going to hire many more off of that test since it has been almost a year and after April 14th there will be two new groups of canidates.

Took the 06 test and was told by my b/i that my military records havent been received that was two months ago. So I went on line to the archives and filled out the info (it took about ten min).called my b/i for 6 weeks with no return calls, i thought i was dropped from the test???? called to speak with a manager, then was told my syco test was not complete, seems the doc i saw about 7 years ago (after my divorce )never faxed the proper paperwork, not sure why i was not informed. Only after i spoke with investagation did they send me a letter( took two months) I dident want to keep bugging my b/i but let me tell you this- if you want to know what your status is call and speak with [B]investagations ,dont assume that all is well, i thought no news was good news...I am now appealing and hopeing to still get in. Has anyone ever went thru this process??? Good luck to all.

So if you are appealing were you DQ'ed? It is your responsibility to get all information to your investigator. Get the info from the origional source send it to your investigator via fax or mail and call to confirm that it was received. Those guys are responsible for so many individual investigations that they can not waste time tracking your paperwork down. If they do not get what they need they asume that you just do not want the job that bad. If you want it you will do every thing in your power to make sure they have what they need to do thier job. I had to get a couple of things to my investigator after the interview I went the next day to get them mailed them waited three days for them to get there and then called for three days to make sure that they made thier way to his desk. He did not mind at all that i was checking in and seemed to appreciate my dedication.

Hey underthefloat,thanks for the reply- I recieved a certified letter dated feb26 however, i dient get it until mar. 23, ( a month from albany to buffalo)?it was in responce to my psyco review- i called every week to check on my progress prior to the letter, to see if all the paperwork was received or if there were any problems, No calls were returned, like i said i needed to speak w/a supervisor to get the information i needed. The letter dident say i was DQ'd it just said i needed to finish up on the report for the psyco. Anyway i have taken care of the paperwork and sent the letter back (certified)to investagations and again i am waiting -im going to call them in a couple of days. Again anyone out there been thru this type of #$#@.snaffuuu.
I here the willard acadamy is open and it would be nice to go there instead of Albany.Maybe i still have a chance at this job and will see you there.
