View Full Version : Which tie should I wear for my upcoming oral interview?

I'm a week away from my oral interview for Sac PD and I was wondering which tie I should wear. I will be wearing a charcoal suit with a white undershirt.

That's weird, I see all 5. Well anyways, I guess just post which one you think is best.

At my Oral I wore a Navy blue suit, with very thin light blue pin strips, and a light blue tie. Basically, wear something neutral. I think you can't go wrong with a plain black tie.

the red one definitely. you need some color or you will look drab. and charcoal and white means no real color so far.

LMAO!!!!!. The sad part is that I heard someone who applied to a LE road job where I use to work wearing a tie simliar to that one.

There was an article on MSN.com a while back about proper interview etiquette and attire...basically for males, they recommended a dark suit with white shirt and either a blue or red tie. With that said, personally I'd go with the blue with black dots. Although the black with grey stripes looks good too. Especially with the Charcoal suit. Good Luck!
