I know they start at like 52,000, anyone know the steps/top out?

yea i saw starting but i didnt see a table with steps or top out or anything.

You might want to try the background guy, he could probably help you. Or, contact the Police Protective League, they have that kind of info also. Their website is: lapd.com

go to the city of L.A. website,then look for employment via the personnel page-you'll get a payscale ,which sez' $52K to $78K/yr but thats not exactly "Accurate"(newer contract changed that ).New hires get $52K starting the academy,then go up to btwn $56K before they graduate,then theres the 1 yr raise after that which puts them near $59/$60K yr-the base LAPD pay scale doesn't show education or longevity,or bonus pay raises-we're talking mid to high $80Ks for senior officers.(not counting OT$$)
