Print out an OF-612 from the OPM website.
I notice the first two KSAs relate to previous law enforcement experience. Do you think that's a requirement or just a ranking mechanism?
I used to see these guys on the GW Pkwy but coming down there yesterday saw nobody, so for most of the traffic it was the GW Speedway. One of their helicopters was up there, though.
I may be wrong but I thought I read a post here or elsewhere that mentioned being at 60% manpower (is that correct?).
Good luck to those applying.

To contact a Recruiter, call Sergeant Steven R. Somers at 202 - 619 - 7056.
They will mail an application...good luck.
There is no way I am going to back to GA-FLETC for 24 weeks, to bad they don't use the FLETC in MD
"There is no way I am going to back to GA-FLETC for 24 weeks"
Yeah, six months is a long time.
I'm wondering about those KSAs. On one hand, applicants without LE experience and enough education are qualified under Section B of the qualifications, yet the first two KSAs are law enforcement-related.
I'll probably call the recruiter (though I'm guessing he's extremely busy), but would be interested in hearing from anyone with insight into the KSAs.

I would welcome a return to FLETC. Those were the best 12 weeks I have ever spent in an academy. Just think, all those different chicken combinations you could eat. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm goooooooooooodddddddddddd..

I also am wondering how someone with no LE background should answer KSAs #1 & #2

Look at the bright side, you get a break after the initial 18 weeks of LMPT. :D

Had to look that one up! Ah, I see:

What's the rest of the training after that for Park Police? Uniformed Police Training Program (UPTP)?

If you have any particular questions about LMPT or the Park Service add on, I can fill you in if you want.....
That's weird--the job announcement describes training for 24 weeks at FLETC, while the phone message training description says 16 weeks.

LMPT IS 18 weeks, for sure. Then the USPP has an add on of either 4 or 6 weeks. I can't remember exactly. But that is the definite length of LMPT. But I am almost positive that the USPP Officers in my class came back for a 4 week add on with a 1 week break after LMPT
