I could be wrong but Missouri State does not have an POST school... That being said, they very well might, I am aware of 3 in springfield. The Academies in this area are... Springfield PD... Drury University= this gives you a Class A POST CERT... and Greene county Sheriffs reserve POST academy. Springfield will only hire from their academy and most of the drury guys go to small towns in this area.. which are not hurting for guys at this time, unlike Springfield PD. The drury academy is not that physical... Springfield runs 3 or so miles a day downtown but their Reqs are not that hard- 19 pushups and 30 situps.. anyone wanting to be a cop soon be able to do that !!

I have a friend that went through there back in 02. He said it was fairly physical.....as they ran and did a lot of push-ups.....

Just keep working out......work on push-ups, sit-ups, and running....a lot.....
