Arkansas State Police Hiring Process 2007

I sent in my Initial Contact Form yesterday to start the process.

Anybody else in the process this year? How far along are you?

They will probably send you a letter in a couple of weeks that will tell you about the testing in May. I got my letter a couple of days ago.

Awesome! Thanks. I have been running, doing push-ups and sit-ups trying to prepare as much as possible for the initial PT. I think I am doing pretty decent at this point.

I got my letter last week for the test in May, just after I got hired by a department in south Arkansas but I am still thinking about testing. confused

Just curious if anyone has received a letter after the PT? They told us on May 3rd we would hear something in 4 to 6 weeks. This week marks the 7th week and I haven't heard anything or received anything in the mail.

I was thinking the same thing. they said we would all get a letter, some would get a phone call.....ive received neither..

I am also in the process of hiring on for the 2008-A Class. I, like you as well, had to wait FOREVER for word from the State Police. Word finally came last week in the form of a large manilla envelope. It is the background packet, the polygraph questionaire, a liability release, and a conditional letter of hire. I am so excited that I've been selected, so far at least. My question is this: Are there any people on here that have been through the process for ASP (preferably recently) that could further elaborate on the important parts? I have about a hundred thousand questions, but unfortunately I'm still full-time at my current employer so I can't be a full-time question asker. Anyway, any reply will be greatly appreciated. I too recently got my packet. I have filled it out and sent it back in. Now awaiting my polygraph.
