View Full Version : Out of State Mass hiring

I live in NJ and its pretty tough to get hired. I thought about moving to another state. I know LAPD and a lot of west coast departments are hiring but thats really far. What are some places about 4-5 hours away besides Baltimore and the NYPD that needs officers? How often does the PA or Delaware state police recuit? Any advice would be great, thanks.

www.ppdonline.org best bet to get hired in PA, and www.psp.state.pa.us , all other departments are very small and very competitive to get on.

only thing with Philly PD is that you MUST be a city resident for 1 year PRIOR to being hired...

Plus in philly you don't have lifetime benefits so no way...

You're pretty picky for a person looking for a LE job. Take what you can get for now. Lifetime benefits are important. However, work on getting your foot in the door and gaining some experience and then maybe transfering somewhere with better benefits/pay. Many people in LE do this.
