I have been tasked to come up with ideas of programs geared towards the Elementary School level for safety and positive values. I am currently a High School SRO, and will be spearheading a new program in our agency targeting the Elementary Schools. Bike safety, Stranger-Danger, Gun Safety, etc. I need input from agencies out there that have some of these in place, and how successful they are or aren't. Also what the parent feedback is on some of these. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Nacho,

I know you mentioned some specifics, concerning what areas you are targeting; however, something that may be of "a little" assistance to lay a foundation and worthy of mentioning is an article entitled "Safeguarding our Children" that can be located at the U.S. Department of Education website. It may offer some insight into monitoring the questionable behavior of some youth...before it leads to a possible school shooting tragedy. I don't think it's the angle you are looking for, but it's worth mentioning.
