I need a heart ripping poem for one of our officers that was killed several years ago. His murder was unsolved. We're doing a memorial page for him.

My personal view...they are all heart ripping.

But...I understand what you want and I will look through what I have so far. When exactly do you need this by? I have long shifts the next two days, but can search through over the weekend.

Also, aside from his murder being unsolved, what other things could you tell me? IE... married, children, age, length as a cop, etc.
I don't need a biography, but you'd be surprised how many poems do not seem to fit with some of the fallen LEO's they are suppose to reflect. I'll try to find you something that fits as close to him as I can.

I tried I am not a poet... maybe this will help Becca
From the day I first started I never dreamed it would be me
My name to be posted here for all eternity
I always thought my training would come through
That surely this would not happen to me

I thought I would be the one left behind to mourn my fallen friends,
The final one that each everlasting flame attends,
But I was on God

I like any version of a poem about fallen Officers because they come from the heart. I just wish we didn't have to have them at all.

TC..do you still want me to look for any poems this weekend since you have picked two already?

I have some graphics, too...if you want me to send you some.

A proud mother's son once walked down the line.
A rookie's new uniform and a new badges shine.

He took to the streets and it's lessons he learned.
Wasn't long 'till the title "good cop" did he earn.

He broke up fights and tried to make peace.
Often in tragedy, he kept a straight face.

Often on weekends, as well as at night;
he answered his calls, tried to do what was right.

And through the years, he grew, a bit battered and worn;
sometimes he came home with his uniform torn.

But his uniform mended by a loving wife with pride;
his badge remained untarnished on the day that he died.
