ABS brakes in Ford car

I am looking for information about problems with ABS brakes in Ford Econoline, policecar. We here in Iceland have had a serius accident and we do think that the brakes did not work right. Please email me if you do know about problems with abs in Ford cars. g.fylkis@lr.is

I've not driven the Econoline, so I can't address it specificlly. I will say this; most ABS failures are not ABS failures, they're driver failures. Some may disagree, but a lot of research backs that up. A lot of us became cops before ABS brakes and the way we were taught to drive does not work out the same with the ABS.

You might try contacting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). If there is a documented problem, they will probably know. Often though, they find that it is not the car, but the driver.
