I am testing for the City of Martinsburg Police in March. Anyone have any idea how many people they are looking to hire? I am trying to get my first LE job and have lived in the area for 3 years. I have no experience in the field but have long considered the career. I was told by some LE friends that they will probably only hire 2-3 people and there will likely be many applicants. The department is only about 44 people total. I think they were trying to steer me toward a larger department the first time around like Las Vegas Metro or others like it who hire 40-50 people a month. I would like to remain local but I want this career. Any help would be appreciated.
