I heard about this earlier and just watched the video here (http://news.aol.com/entertainment/articles/_a/judge-gives-smith-body-to-babys-guardian/20070222065909990001?ncid=NWS00010000000001#video) .
I don’t mean to sound heartless but does this judge sound like a bumbling idiot to anyone else? Not just the crying but his inability to articulate.
He broke down crying over the disposition of Anna’s body? Is this really an emotional issue for a circuit judge? How does this guy handle cases involving child victims of sex crimes or abuse? What about a cold blooded homicide?
If this judge has no more control over his emotions than he displayed today he really needs to step down from the bench as his impartiality is clearly easily compromised.

i was thinking the same thing. crying over anna nicole decomposing just made me think he has litte experience as a judge, or he really wants some publicity.

That guy was an embarassment to Judges everywhere. What a f&ckin' clown. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..., could you pause a little more please, procrastinate a little more, beat around the bush a little more. D#mn, I thought I was going to decompose waiting for his verdict. But just wait, as much press as he got over his behavior, he'll have a TV show before you know it. Man, our society here in the U.S. gets more commercial, vein, corrupt, ignorant... every freakin' day. The Judge was right though. I mean that trial was NOT a Circus. I mean a Circus would have been more organized and professional I think. Plus, I have more respect for the Bearded Lady than I do that dude. Good Grief!

Actually in Florida we have judicial circuits. He is a circut court judge in the 17th Judicial Circuit.
That just shows how big of a joke our court system is. I cant imagine what society will be like in 20 years. It makes me sick that a whole country comes to a stand still over a dead lady who use to get paid to take her clothes off. Yet police officers, fire fighters and people that make a difference are looked down on, get no credit, and when it comes to buget crunches we are the ones that no one cares about. I cant even afford to live in the same city that I police, yet a dumb a** like anna nicole smith and judge duche bag are all over CNN and MSNBC.
Im either going to go postal or have to move to the moon.

he is a joke.
what he did for four days should have taken no more then a half, which is pick next of kin. He wanted the media hype, over exposer. In the clip (or the one on the news) He stated that he colapsed after a week, he could not think of what ANS had with it 24 7. the differance is ANS LIVED for the media hype and craved it, he didnt ask for it and took it unknowing what it is able to ones mental health.
I think the judge wont be re elected nor do I think He will escape puinshment from his judge peers.

I agree. That was a 3 ring circus. He knew it too. Why else would he get so defensive when the attorney's would call it that.

Wasn't he the same guy who was talking about "how long he was going to take", to "get this whole thing done right," and "there was no hurry", because "the body was being kept in the cold?" What an *****clown!
And I don't know about that part of the world...but here, criminal courts handle criminal matters and civil courts hear civil matters, and rarely do the two meet, except when the criminal courts are overcrowded and need a quickie trial done.

Not to be a ball buster but is he a joke simply because he is a joke? Or does the cab driving make him a joke? I ask for a reason. I worked my way through law school while dealing craps in AC. I know that at times I could hear some of my classmates snicker at this. Then again, daddy wasn't paying my way through school. Perhaps it was the same with this judge.
I guess what I am saying is that this judge is the ultimate success story, IMO, as has lived the American dream if in fact he came from humble beginnings. As for his competency, that's another issue.

Now he is gonna be on TV. Rumor has it that one of the morning shows is asking him to do an ongoing segment for them. Surprise!
