Police Motorcycles

I'm interested in finding out if any agencies are using non-police model motorcycles. In other words does anybody use something other than Kawasaki Police 1000, HD Road King & FLHTP, or BMW R1100RT?

If your department does what do you ride and how do you like it. Also any links to pictures would be appreciated.

Our department at one time used the FXR Series but that was awhile ago. We now have only the three you mentioned and only one Bmer. Everything except the FLHTP will be out of the fleet by next year.

What about any agencies (or officers) using their own bikes (I may buy a FLHTP - for duty).

Our city would never buy a motor for road duty. It was mentioned a while back if an Officer bought his own, they may begin the program.

Any thoughts, experiences or feedback. I feel the HD would hold it's value, so even if they did NOT go with the program, I would not be out too much for resale... I'd likely keep it any way, using it for some commercial venture (escort or ??).
