where to live in Snohomish county?

I have lived in Snohomish county my entire life and am going to be working within the county as a LEO. I am married with no kids and living in an apartment. I am going to be looking into buying a home in the next year or two and want to live near the city i am working for. so pretty much i want a place with a big yard front and back and a home that is recently built (10 yrs). this would need to be around south Snohomish county. Any ideas would be great!

From what i have read in your profile it looks like you are from Washington D.C. area i am from the state of Washington :) But i will be working for a City within Snohomish County.

It really depends , I suppose up north would be cheaper if you could stand to live in Marysville or even Arlington , Stanwood. I'll end up moving up there whenever I get a house. I'm priced out everywhere Everett and south. Just out of curiousity , what agency did you get on with?
