I am considering trying one of these for bike patrol and concerts. Have you had any experience with them? How well do they work?

Thanks, DTN

DoTheNumbers,

I have used an earpiece with my radio for a few years now. It plugs right into my radio and has a PTT button that clips to my uniform right under my third button. I have not had any problems with transmission quality and it works very well for me. It is nice in crowds and when you don't want others to hear the radio transmissions. I purchased mine because of K-9 and it worked well for tracking and building searches.
Stealthy ya know.

Thanks for the reply, but I guess I should have been clearer about what an earbone mic is. Both the receiver and the transmitter is on the ear peice. Instead of having a "boom" mic it receives transmistion through the vibrations of your bones. Hear is a couple of links to give you a better idea.

Thanks, DTN
