State Highway Patrol body armor

Hey guys-

I was wondering what body armor state troopers wear. Is is different from the local police armor? If so, what features need to be different, or do you want to be different from urban police armor.

You don't need to worry about body armor until you are halfway through the academy. They will take care of the whole process for you.

Not sure if this is different than local, but the OSP requires your vest to wrap around and cover under your arm.

I'm not in the academy, I'm doing research on body armor and police uniforms.

Do you get an alowance to buy your own armor or are you issued armor.

also- what brands do you recieve or what beands do you trust to use?
