Got a Glock 22C or Glock 27

I am in Columbus, Ohio and I am looking for a used Glock 22 or a Glock 27. I am going to be entering a police academy next year and that particular police department provides all equipment except for weapons. Please email me with the price you are looking to get and I'd also like to know what kind of condition it is it as well as what type of maintanence it has recieved, about how many rounds have been put thru it, etc. I can't bet my life on something that I'm unsure of how it works. I'll be willing to bring you a copy of my driver's license at point of sale. (I'd expect the same, too.) Thanks.

Are you sure you want to carry a Glock 27 for your primary weapon? It is a much smaller handgun used mainly for concealment purposes.

Head up to the New Albany Shooting Range... I'm sure they've got a used 22 at least. If not, they'll be able to steer you away from them and towards a real gun. ;)

Sorry you didn't make it through the OSP academy. Good luck w/your next departments. Vance's in Columbus generally has good police prices, have you checked there?

No, I left the OSHP Academy. Most of what I posted is info that I had before I went in and it really helped me. The academy was great, albeit difficult. But the job was described by recruitment in a way that didn't exactly pan out when I got there. Mostly, I was concerned that being a Trooper on a Highway wouldn't allow you much time actually working the the community and with people (outside of writing tickets.) I was assured that this was untrue but found out differently from the instructors. I have nothing but the highest respect for those involved in the OSHP. Frankly, I had a hard time finding another department I wanted to work for b/c everyone else's standards were so much lower than the OSHP's. If you want to work with the best, look into the Ohio Patrol! I just didn't want to work traffic the rest of my life.

BlackedOut- I've fired 'em but never owned any Glocks. Have you had problems with Glocks?

Go tp Vances, they had a few in there last week. The price will be between $370-$400. Also what academy are you planning on attending. You made end up with me as an instructor.

Only go to New Albany in you want to pay extra money, for the same product you can buy at Vances.

I dont get involved in gun arguments, but since you are new to LE and may be easily swayed, I can tell you the Glock is the most popular LE gun for a reason. Some of you guys may be to young to remember how revolutionary this gun was when introduced and how well received and appreicated it was by LE.

There are certainly other options out there that are are fine, and you may prefer something else, but to say its not a "real gun" is just not reality

Nope, I shoot great with them, have never had a malfunction, and I think they're great guns... I just don't like them. :p

But really, a Glock is a great gun.

glock isnt bad at all i shoot good with them, its just they dont fit as well to my hand like a Smith&Wesson m&p .40 or a 1911....

My current service weapon is a Glock 22, and I love it!! Although I do have some friends in a neighboring agency who just switched from the G 22 to the Smith and Wesson M&P 40 cal and they seem to like it better than the Glock. Could be something for you to look in to
